Max Andrew McCreary is a hearing-disabled, queer, multi-hyphenate theatre artist who tells captivating, culturally-relevant stories. By grounding his work in consent and identity, Max crafts narrative through teamwork, using his background in actor-generated theatre and dramaturgy to identify assets and refine the team’s storytelling.

Max Andrew McCreary is a director, dramaturg, and arts administrator based in Indianapolis. Currently serving as the Director of Audience Engagement at IndyFringe and the Artistic Director of Indy Bard Fest, Max is dedicated to creating curious and captivating spaces for audiences and artists to explore. With a firm belief in cultivating a vibrant arts economy in the Midwest, Max has nearly a decade of experience is bringing communities together through the arts.
